Ingredients:
2 cups gram flour
1 cup chopped, methi leaves (fenugreek)
2 potatoes boiled, peeled, mashed
5-6 green chillies
1 tsp. red chilli powder
1 tsp. cumin powder
5-6 curry leaves, chopped
2 tbsp. chopped coriander
leaves
1/2 tsp. asafoetida
A pinch of baking soda
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Method:
Boil the methi leaves
in water (not over cooked) Remove from the
heat and drain.
Add all the ingredients
in a bowl and add
boiled methi.
Add very little water
and make a stiff
dough
then shape into small
balls.
Heat a few inches
of oil in a deep
fryer
and fry the methi
vade until golden
brown.
Serve hot with chutney
or ketchup. |
