Ingredients:
3 large potatoes boiled, peeled, mashed
1/4 cup peas, boiled
1 cup finely chopped and
boiled carrots &
beans
1 small beetroot, chopped
and boiled
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
1/2 tsp. turmeric
3 green chillies, chopped
1/2 tsp. ginger, grated
1 tsp. coriander powder
1/2 tsp. red chilli powder
1 tsp. garam masala
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
all-purpose flour ( for dusting)
1 packet of Pastry Sheets
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, cumin seeds,
when it splutters, add ginger, green chillies, turmeric and onion.
Fry till onions become golden brown. Add
boiled potatoes, other vegetables and mix
well.
Add coriander, garam masala, red chilli powders
and salt. Cover and
reduce the heat and allow
it to cook.
Remove from the heat. Add lemon juice, coriander leaves and mix
well.
Take a pastry sheets
and put some flour on
it. With a rolling pin, flatten the sheet to
required thin layer
(don't make it very
thin) Cut the pastry sheet into 3 inch squares
and place the filling.
Fold it into a triangle or a rectangle and
stick the edges tightly with water.
Preheat the oven at 350°and place the puffs
in a greased baking tray.
Bake them until golden brown for 20-30 minutes.
Serve hot.
