Ingredients:
3 cups gram flour
2 tbsp. rice flour
1-2 tbsp. red chilli powder
1/2 tsp. asafoetida
1-2 tsp.salt
2 cups cold water
Oil for deep frying

Vegetables:- 1 onion, cut into slices
1 potato, peeled and cut into slices
1 small ridge gourd (hirekai) peeled and
cut into slices
1 small plantain banana, peeled and cut into
slices |
Method:
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add
water to from a thick, smooth
batter.
Beat it well and allow to stand for 10 minutes.
Heat a few inches of oil in a deep fryer.
Beat the batter again lightly.
Dip each piece of vegetable in the batter
to coat lightly, and fry until golden brown.
Drain on paper towel.
Serve hot or cold, with Tomato Ketchup. |
