Lentil Chutney

Ingredients:
2 tbsp. toor dal
1 tbsp. bengal gram
1/2 cup grated,coconut
3-4 green chillies
1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp. tamarind juice
1 tsp. jaggery or sugar
1 tbsp. coriander leaves
1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
1 tsp. grated, ginger
1-2 tsp.oil
Salt to taste
For Seasoning:
1 tsp. oil
1/2 tsp.mustard seeds

Asafoetida a pinch

Method:
Heat oil in a pan, add toor dal, bengal gram, fry till light brown. Add green chillies, fry for 2 minutes.
Combine fried mixture, coconut, jaggery, tamarind, coriander leaves,
chopped onion, turmeric, ginger, salt
in the container of a blender. Add little water and blend until smooth.
Transfer the chutney into a bowl.
Heat oil, add seasonings when it starts to split, pour it over the chutney and mix well.
Serve with rice/chapatis/rotis
