Ingredients:
1 cucumber, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup grated, coconut
4 green chillies
1 tbsp. split peas (hurgadle,
puttani)
1-2 tsp. tamarind juice
1 tsp. jaggery
1 tbsp. chopped coriander
1/2 tsp. asafoetida
Salt to taste
For Seasoning:
2 tsp. oil
1/2 tsp. mustard seeds

Method:
Put chopped cucumber in a bowl and set aside.
Combine all the ingredients and
grind to
a fine paste with little water.
Add ground paste to the cucumber
mixture
and mix well.
Heat the oil in a pan, add seasonings when
it starts to split, stir into
the cucumber
mix.
Serve fresh with chapatis or rice. |
