Ingredients:
1/2 cup toor daal
1/2 cup moong daal
1 onion, chopped
3 green chillies, sliced
1/4 tsp. ginger, grated
1 tsp. red chilli powder
1/2 tsp. coriander powder
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
2. tbsp. butter
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. coriander, finely chopped
Salt to taste. |
Method:
Mix and wash dals well, soak for 15 minutes.
Pressure cook till soft but not over cooked.
Mash the dal with the back of a spoon, while
hot.
Heat butter in a pan, add cumin seeds and
allow to splutter. Add ginger, onion and green chillies, stir
fry till soft.
Now add dal, red chilli powder,
coriander
powder, and salt mix well. Bring it to a boil for 5-10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and garnish with chopped
coriander and lemon juice.
Serve hot with rotis/rice |
