Ingredients:
1 cup rice
1/2 cup toor dal
1/2 cup black gram dal
1/2 cup bengal gram dal
4 green chillies
3 red chillies
1 tsp. grated, ginger
3 tbsp. grated, coconut
1 tbsp. chopped, coriander
1 long spring curry leaves
Asafoetida a pinch
Salt to taste
Oil for roasting

Method:
Soak the rice, lentils together for 6 hours.
Grind to a paste with all other ingredients. Add little water to make a batter as for
the consistency of dosa.
Keep the batter for 1 hour.
Heat the griddle and grease with little oil.
Pour a ladleful of batter over
the griddle.
Spread it quickly and make it thick round
dosas. Pour a teaspoonful of
oil around the
edges.
Cover with the lid and cook for few minutes
until light brown on both sides.
Serve topping it with a teaspoon of butter
or ghee.
Serve hot with coconut chutney. |
