Ingredients:
3 cups whole wheat flour (plus more for dusting)
Warm water to mix the dough
1-2 tbsp, oil (plus extra for brushing)
Salt to taste

Method:
Mix together the flour, oil, salt and water
to form a smooth dough.
Brush with a little oil and knead for 10
minutes until smooth. Cover and
set aside
for 1-2 hours.
Divide the dough into balls. Coat each one
with flour and flatten to form
a round.
Roll out into medium sized chapathis on a
lightly floured board. Heat the
griddle over
a medium heat.
Place one chapathi in the hot
griddle and
brush with little oil. Fry for
few seconds
until the top begins to puff.
Turn over the chapathi and brush with little
oil, fry for a further seconds
until the
surface starts to puff.
Remove from the griddle and fry
the remaining
chapathis in the same way.
Serve hot with Curry/Chutney |
