Ingredients:
1 cup rice
2-3 tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
1 tbsp. peanuts
8-10 curry leaves
1 tbsp. coriander, chopped
Salt to taste. |
For Masala:
2 green raw mangoes, peeled and grated
1/2 cup grated, coconut
4-5 red chillies
1/4 tsp. mustard seeds
1/4 tsp. fenugreek seeds
1 tsp. cumin seeds
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
1/2 tsp. asafoetida |
Method:
Cook rice and cool slightly.
Grind all the masala ingredients to a smooth
paste.
Heat oil in a sauce pan, add mustard seeds,
when it pops, add peanuts fry until lightly browned.
Add ground paste, curry leaves
and salt. Fry it for 5-10 minutes. Remove from the
heat.
Add rice, coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve warm or cold. |
