Tamarind Saaru

Ingredients:
1/2 cup tamarind juice
2 tbsp. jaggery
1/2 tsp. cumin powder
1-1/2 cups water
1 long spring curry leaves
1 tsp. chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
1 tsp. Rasam Powder

For Seasoning:
2 tsp. ghee
1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
1/2 tsp. asafoetida
Method:
Put tamarind juice, jaggery, rasam powder, cumin powder, curry leaves in a pan.
Add water and bring to the boil for 10-12 minutes. Then add salt and boil for 5-8 minutes.
Remove from the heat.
Heat ghee in a pan, add seasonings when it starts to split, stir into the rasam.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice.
