Ingredients:
2 cups gram flour (besan)
2 tbsp. oil
1/4 tsp. asafoetida
Salt to taste
A pinch of soda
Water to make a dough
Oil to deep fry

Method:
Mix flour, asafoetida, salt, soda in a bowl.
Heat oil and add to the mixture.
Add enough water to make a dough (It should
be little sticky)
Fill the dough in a sev press with small
holes. Press into hot oil, and
fry lightly
coloured and crispy.
Do not allow to become golden.
When whitish,
remove. Drain on paper towel.
Store as is, or crush to small
pieces. |
