Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup vanaspathi (dalda) Or home made ghee
Pinch of baking soda
2-3 cups sugar
2 cups water
Oil and Vanaspathi for deep frying
Sliced Pista, Almonds and grated Dry Coconuts for decoration

Method:
Heat little ghee in a pan, fry pista, almonds
till light golden color and keep aside.
Rub the ghee into the flour,
add soda and
sprinkle little water and make
a soft dough.
Keep aside closed with a wet cloth for 15
minutes.
Boil water with sugar to make a thick syrup.
Remove from the heat.
If the syrup becomes thick, add some more
water and heat it again.
Divide the dough into small sized balls,
flatten slightly and twist the sides using
fingertips decoratively and shape the edges.
Prepare all the badhushas and keep closed.
Heat vanaspathi and oil in a frying pan over
medium heat. Add few badhushas and deep fry it till golden
brown.
Put fried badhushas immediately into the
sugar syrup for about 5 to 8 minutes and
remove it on to a plate.
Sprinkle fried nuts and grated dry coconut
soon after removing from the syrup so that
it sticks.
Repeat the procedure with all the badhushas.
