Pineapple Kesari Bhath

Ingredients:
1 cup rave (semolina)
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
1/2 cup ghee (for frying rave)
1 cup pineapple cut to very small pieces
1 tbsp. raisins
1/2 tsp. saffron strands (soak the saffron strands in the 2 tsp.of hot milk.)
1 tbsp. cashews, chopped (for garnishing)
Method:
Heat ghee in a pan, add cashews and fry till light brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
In the same pan, add rave and fry till light brown. Set aside.
Boil the water in a sauce pan, add pineapple pieces and cook till soft.
Add sugar, saffron milk, raisins and stir well. Reduce the heat to simmer, add rave and mix well.
Simmer for 5 minutes, a
dd more ghee if required.
Garnish with cashews and serve hot or cold.
Variation:
You can try with Ripe Bananas too.
