Payaswini's Recipes





Ingredients:
1/2 cup bengal gram
1/2 cup black gram
1/2 cup split pigeon peas (toor dal)
1/2 cup mung beans (yellow moong dal)
1 tsp. coriander seeds
2 tsp. fenugreek seeds
8 dried red chillies
1/2 tsp. asafoetida
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
Salt to taste

Method:
Dry roast all the ingredients (except the turmeric and salt) in a pan until lightly coloured.
Grind everything to a fine powder. Store in an air-tight container.
Serve with hot rice and with little oil or ghee.
